My New Years' resolution to take a photo every day didn't work out so well, mainly because I couldn't find the motivation to go out and find a great shot each day. When I saw an article about the "365 Grateful" project, though, I was inspired to do the same thing. So it begins again! Each day, I'll be posting a photo of something that I appreciate. Today's image is a shot of my pantry shelf, stocked with various foods. It should come as no surprise to most of you that I am grateful for food, because I've been reading way too much about people who are starving around the world. I may complain on occasion that "there's nothing to eat" in my apartment, but what I really mean is there's nothing delicious to eat. I can't imagine what it would be like to scavenge for tree bark just to quell the hunger pains. So today, I am incredibly grateful that I have never suffered from malnourishment. I am grateful for my proximity to grocery stores stocked to the gills with food items, and I am thankful that I have never gone to the store to find only empty shelves due to a famine or war.
