Map Language Blanket

After hours of knitting, planning, charting, and graphing, I completed a knit blanket linguistic map of the world. Each color represents a different language family! The dark green that dominates the map is Indo-European, which includes Russian, Spanish, English, French, and many others. The black-and-white striped yarn represents "no language," meaning the area is too sparsely populated to classify.

On the back lining of the blanket, I created a map key and embroidered the names of each language family. I will gift this blanket to whoever can find my mistake! : )

It didn't turn out as perfectly as I'd hoped, and the hours that went into it are certainly not worth the end result, but hey, it gave me something to do while I watched TV.
